Local Resources
The Heritage Library
USA Today named The Heritage Library one of the top 10 places in the world to research your roots! The Heritage Library is a non-profit member-supported library offering research assistance in addition to classes. The library is an affiliate library of the Family History Library operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The library is located at 2 Corpus Christi, Suite 100, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Volunteers are available for assistance.
Other Resources
The NSDAR also has a free Genealogical Research System (GRS) to help with research. The GRS is a collection of databases that provide access to the many materials amassed by the DAR since its founding in 1890.
